Response to intervention and how it affects libraries

This research project is a review of literature about how Response to Intervention can help school administrators, teachers, and staff support struggling students. Helping struggling students achieve has been a long term goal of school personnel. In addition mandated legislation from the government causes many school leaders to look for programs or tools that will close struggling student’s gaps. The achievements that have been found with using Response to Intervention will be discussed at length. How to implement Response to Intervention and the various tiers are explained. How the librarian can play a role in a Response to Intervention school will be discussed as well.
