This research study examines the use of the sexually harassing statement "That's what she said" the television show The Office. Using Kenneth Burke's concept of perspective by incongruity, the study explores how the show highlights the issue of sexual harassment in today's workplace. It does this by looking at various factors such as how "That's what she said" is used, who uses it, reactions to its use, and consequences to those who use it. Burke's dramatic pentad is also used to examine the elements of each use of "That's what she said."
